Totally Extra: Liverpool 4-3 Newcastle, 30 years on
Jimbo is joined by Duncan Alexander, Charlie Eccleshare and George Caulkin to open up the Totally Extra almanac to exactly 30 years ago, on the Liverpool 4-3 Newcastle page. The Magpies were the great entertainers with the exuberant Kevin Keegan at the helm and much of the country pulling for them to take the title. Their title challengers Man Utd had famously been told by Alan Hansen they couldn't win anything with kids. What ensued is still for many the greatest ever Premier League game. What made it so special? And how different might have football been if Newcastle had won it in 1996? Plus what else happened this week in football history and a brain-teasing quiz question. Produced by Charlie Jones, Lucy Oliva & Jesse Howard. From the sacking of Pearson and battling relegation to Richard III, Ranieri, pizzas and Bocelli - the Leicester title story had it all.
