Bayern win Bundesliga, Sociedad win Copa Del Rey + is the title race back on in France?

Jimbo and the usual team of Seb Stafford-Bloor, Pol Ballus, James Horncastle and Tom Williams are back to discuss what’s been going on in the continent.   Bayern Munich are German champions for a 35th time. A 4-2 win over Stuttgart secures the title after second-placed Dortmund lose 2-1 to Hoffenheim. Is this the first of an incredible treble for Vincent Kompany’s men this season?   In Spain, it’s a first Real Sociedad trophy in front of fans for 38 years as they beat Atletico Madrid on a penalty shootout to win the Copa Del Rey. Delight for the White and Blues, but how might this impact Atleti ahead of their Champions League semi-final against Arsenal? And what’s been the fallout at Real Madrid and Barca after they were dumped out?   The Ligue 1 title race could be back on after PSG lose 2-1 to Lyon. Second-placed Lens beat Toulouse 3-2 to close the gap to just one point. And in Italy, Inter go 12 points clear with five games to go: a 3-0 win over Cagliari means the Serie A title looks like a formality for the league leaders.   Produced by Lucy Oliva and Xavi Bird.   RUNNING ORDER:   PART 1: Moments of the week (3 mins) PART 2: Real Sociedad win Copa Del Rey (12 mins) PART 3A: Bayern win the Bundesliga (30 mins) PART 3B: Ligue 1 review – PSG stutter in the title race (34 mins) PART 4: Serie A review – Inter go 12 points clear (46 mins) PART 5: Bundesliga review – The race for top four hots up (62 mins) Hosted on Acast. Will Man City v Arsenal live up to the hype? Like Bayern v Real?!

Jimbo sits down with Duncan Alexander, Mark Carey and JJ Bull to discuss a bonkers night of Champions League football in Munich, and a not-so-bonkers evening in North London.   Both Arsenal and Bayern are through to the semi-finals of the Champions League. The Bavarians playing out a 4-3 thriller with Real Madrid, winning the tie 6-4 on aggregate to set up a semi-final against PSG. Will that tie be the real final?   It’s not a thrill-fest for Arsenal, but a 0-0 draw with Sporting CP means they’re through 1-0 on aggregate. Get ready for Arteta v Simeone! The Gunners will play Atletico Madrid in two weeks.   Next for them is Manchester City in the Premier League. Will Pep Guardiola’s side be licking their lips at this one? Will Roberto De Zerbi get his first Spurs win against his old club Brighton?   Plus, there’s the small matter of Chelsea v Man Utd AND the first ever Merseyside derby at the Hill Dickinson between Everton and Liverpool.   Produced by Charlie Jones and Xavi Bird.   RUNNING ORDER:    • PART 1: Run through of results (3 mins) • PART 2: Bayern 4-3 Real Madrid (9 mins) • PART 3: Arsenal 0-0 Sporting (32 mins) • PART 4a: Premier League fixtures (46 mins) • PART 4b: Man City v Arsenal (48 mins) • PART 4c: Everton v Liverpool & Chelsea v Man Utd (55 mins) • PART 5: Relegation battle (59 mins) Hosted on Acast.
