20 May 2021 - 12 minsA new study has found that cooking with gas causes 12 per cent of childhood asthma.
While a different study in the US suggests that children who live in a home with a gas cooker leads to a 42 per cent increase in a risk of developing childhood asthma.

Cooking with gas has been compared to passive smoking in the home, with advice now saying to switch to electric cookers where possible or to cook with windows open if using a gas cooker.
