Holyhead Port To Trial Facial Recognition Technology
23 February - 11 minsPassengers travelling between Ireland and Wales this week will be scanned with facial recognition technology as part of a pilot scheme that’s being rolled out across the UK.
The move has received criticism, with Dr. Elizabeth Farries from University College Dublin saying that there are “established problems” with the technology.
