Japan cancels its iconic cherry blossom festival

A city in Japan has officially cancelled its iconic cherry blossom festival, citing a crisis caused by over tourism and "badly behaved" visitors. 

The festival in Fujiyoshida normally runs in early April to coincide with the blooming of the city's iconic pink cherry blossoms. For more on this we heard from David McNeill, who is Professor of Communications at the Sacred Heart University in Tokyo.
