31 March - 9 minsGardai are suffering at the hands of online doxing. It is becoming increasingly common, with at least 10 members of the force reporting that they’ve been targeted in recent months. Doxing is when personal, revealing identifying information is published online by somebody in a malicious fashion and without consent. For example, it could be a real name, photo, home address or phone number.
The issue has been raised at the AGSI Conference in Mayo and Kevin Bolger, Deputy General Secretary of the Association of Garda Seargants joined Claire Byrne on the show to discuss.
