Work to allow for the excavation of a burial ground at the former mother-and-baby home in Tuam is set to begin today.
Such work is long awaited since the 2017 Commission of Investigation into Mother and Baby Homes determined that “significant quantities of human remains” were buried on the site. Catherine Corless, Campaigner and Local Historian spoke to Shane this morning.
