The new mayor of Venice, Simmone Venturini has said that on peak days the current €10 fee does not do enough to deter visitors from visiting the popular tourist area.
The mayor is now seeking government approval to introduce dynamic pricing on the its three day tripper free. Anton discusses this further with Travel Correspondent with The Telegraph, Simon Calder.
