The cost of home-heating oil has soared by as much as 75pc in the last year. This is raising fears among industry experts such as Fuel for Ireland that older people will ration their heating this winter.
These fears come as the Government is considering exempting home heating oil from future carbon tax increases. Speaking to Newstalk Breakfast was Roderic O’Gorman, Leader of the Green Party.
