€1.5 billion data centre planned for Mayo been blocked

Planning permission for a €1.5 billion data centre in Mayo, which was opposed by author Sally Rooney, has been overturned. An Coimisiún Pleanála says the developers failed to show there was enough renewable electricity available to power the facility
