Are you afraid to visit Dublin City Centre?
6 November - 5 minsTwo-thirds of people would avoid Dublin City Centre for fear of crime, according to a new survey from Dublin Inquirer and Amárach. The survey found that 12 per cent of people were the victims of theft in Dublin in the past 12 months, while 9 per cent said that they had been threatened in a public place.
We discuss the survey findings further with Dr Matt Bowden, Criminologist and Senior Lecturer at TU Dublin.
