Third of female GAA athletes have urinary incontinence during play
8 August 2025 - 7 minsA new study shows one third of female athletes are experiencing urinary leakage while playing Gaelic football and camogie.
It also examined the prevalence of hormonal contraceptives and the impact these play on performance.
An anonymous online survey was filled out by 455 athletes currently competing in these sports in Ireland
