Gardai believe the 28-year-old was killed by someone he knew and was left to rot in a city centre drug den where addicts came for their fix and to shoot up.
So who was Tony Dempsey and how did he come to such a tragic end, discarded like a bag of rubbish and covered by blankets as drug users partied nearby?

Dublin man charged with murder of Robbie Lawlor
41-year-old Paul Drew has been charged with the murder of Robbie Lawlor after he was arrested in Liverpool and returned to Belfast this week. Drew, with an address in Dublin, was previously jailed for heroin offences and is believed to be a close associate of the criminal known as Mr Big. During a brief hearing, a court heard that there is a Garda file with the Director of Public Prosecution in the Republic of Ireland in relation to the investigation and that 12 people questioned have yet to be charged.
