'Unusually High' Proportion Of Young Irish Males Researching Far-Right Topics Online
5 March 2021 - 20 minsAn "unusually high" proportion of young Irish males are researching far-right topics online, according to a study by a counter-extremism group in London.
The study found that there were twice as many searches for these topics in Dublin as there were elsewhere in Ireland per head of population.
Irish internet users also appeared to search for "highly specific" topics, indicating that they had some existing knowledge of far-right topics and conspiracy theories.
