On July 7th, 2005, four young British men—Mohammad Sidique Khan, Shehzad Tanweer, Hasib Hussain, and Germaine Lindsay—detonated homemade explosives, carried in backpacks, in coordinated suicide bombings on the London Underground and a double-decker bus.
