Further criticism has been piled on police in Northern Ireland in relation to their handling of a case in the run up to the murder of showjumper Katie Simpson where the PSNI ‘inadequately’ investigated a complaint of indecent exposure by her killer Jonathan Creswell. Journalist Tanya Fowles says a public inquiry into the PSNI and the murder of Katie Simpson should be a priority to restore trust and respect in the police service.
