Murder accused Michael Andrecut has asked the Special Criminal Court if he can argue provocation as a partial defence to the charge against him relating to the death of steakhouse gunman Tristan Sherry. Sherry was killed after he assassinated Jason Hennessy Snr at a Blanchardstown restaurant on Christmas Eve last year. Andrecut who is 23 is one of a group of young men before the court accused of overpowering and killing the gunman immediately after the shooting. Nikita Hand has won costs against Conor McGregor and won't have to pay his pal James Lawrence’s fees a court ruled today. The hairdresser who gave evidence that she was raped by McGregor during civil proceedings taken against him was vindicated for a second time when Justice Alexander Owens awarded in her favour despite fears she would have a hefty legal bill. The Judge also said he had not yet decided what he was going to do in relation to social media posts by McGregor but that he could begin a proceeding against him for contempt of court if he wanted to.
