Donald Trump's Campaign Suffers Setback After Poorly Attended Rally In Tulsa

23 June 2020 - 15 mins
Podcast Series The Last Word with Matt Cooper

Donald Trump's re-election campaign suffered a setback on Saturday night, as attendance at his rally in Tulsa fell far short of expectations.

The US President, who is said to be furious about the low turnout, was also criticised for delivering a "disjointed" speech which failed to address the crises facing the country.

Although the Trump campaign claimed that more than a million people had sought tickets for the rally, at least a third of the seats were empty.

Cal Thomas and Marion McKeone joined us from the United States to discuss this and more.
