Domestic violence charges double but few result in convictions
20 January 2022 - 4 minsData from the courts service has revealed that the number of domestic violence charges before the District courts almost doubled between 2019 and 2020. However, only a minority of cases resulted in a conviction. In reaction to this data we heard from Sarah Benson, CEO of Women’s Aid.
