9 July 2020 - 16 minsA sharp rise has been seen in the number of households forced to get a payment break on their mortgage and consumer loan.
According to a Central Bank report, a total of 114,500 payment breaks were granted to households up to the end of June.
But there are fears that banks will increase the debt of those who have taken a break.
