And it's caused by something really small.
A global shortage of microchips has lead to big problems for car manufacturers in everything from electric windows to cruise control.
Speaking to Dermot and Dave, Dave Humphreys from CompleteCar.ie explained that it means that those awaiting a new car in 2022 could be facing delays.
