Convictions will result in a maximum penalty of a six month sentence or a €2,500 fine. The majority of listeners agreed with these new measures. We had Louis a caller from Spain who gave us some insight as to the restrictions in place there. A Drogheda woman called from Paris and stated her support for the new restrictions. A Phone Line Dedicated To Reporting People Violating Social-Distancing First up on the show was Councillor Tom Fortune who was highly critical of the public for social gathering in his area. Fortune said people need to ''cop on'' and ''behave themselves''. There is now a dedicated phone line in New Zealand for Reporting violations of social distancing rules. We asked should there be a phone-line for reporting violations of social distancing? Dublin Talks spoke to Deirdre who had very strong opinions on the implementation of social-distancing policies. Callers were quick to point out the dangers of such a phone service.
