Dubliner's Debate Whether The Taoiseach's St. Patrick's Day Visit To The States Is Necessary

Dubliner's Debate Whether The Taoiseach's St. Patrick's Day Visit To The States Is Necessary

"I think he's an essential worker, he should be allowed travel!" Every year there's a debate on whether or not we should send the Taoiseach and other politicians over to Washington for St. Patrick's Day. This year though, the anger has been amplified. There's talk that the Taoiseach may still travel even though we're currently in a pandemic. Some are saying that diplomatic trips are essential, whereas others think this is a case of "One rule for them. one rule for us". The conversation then evolved into looking at "all travel" and whether or not airports should be closed for the remainder of the pandemic Listen back here: [audio mp3="https://media.radiocms.net/uploads/2021/01/22131142/210122-should-travel-be-banned-and-should-the-taoiseach-go-to-the-states-for-paddys-day-.mp3"][/audio] TUNE IN TO DUBLIN TALKS LIVE EVERY WEEKDAY MORNING FROM 10AM, ONLY ON 98FM Check out all of our podcasts here.

Mother Trying To Work From Home Is Worried Her Child Is Having Too Much Screen Time

Mother Trying To Work From Home Is Worried Her Child Is Having Too Much Screen Time

"From Monday to Thursday my child gets no screen time!" It's a situation more and more parents are finding themselves in. You're trying to get something done and your child is demanding attention. There's a tantrum on the horizon, so you give in and give them a tablet to play with or you stick them in front of the TV for an hour. You've gotten some peace, but now you feel guilty. Your kids are clocking up more time on the screen! This was something that one of our listeners was feeling awful about. Her 18 month old needs constant attention and she resorted to the screen far more than she would have ever liked. She wanted to know if other parents were struggling with the screen and if they had any advice.
